Time to dust off the cleats and begin the grind, pitchers and catchers report today in Goodyear, Arizona. Excitement is high and expectations are tempered if you are a Reds fan. The obstacles facing the team this year are no joke. Starting pitcher Homer Bailey will again begin the season on the DL after his latest elbow surgery, the Reds' circus act at 2nd base comes to a close after 11 seasons with the trade of Brandon Phillips to the Atlanta Braves, and the team is still composed mostly of young, inexperienced players in arguably the most competitive division in all of baseball. All that being said, none of it changes the excitement that builds in the city every year come spring time. We are ready for baseball season to begin. Go Reds!
