The Cincinnati Gardens opened in 1949 and was the home arena for multiple hockey (including the Mohawks, Wings, Mighty Ducks, and Swords), soccer (the Silverbacks), basketball (Royals, Slammers, and Xavier University) football (Commandos), and roller derby teams, as well as a top venue for wrestling, boxing, monster truck jams, motorcycle racing, and concerts.
