Famed boxer Ezzard Charles was born in Georgia but grew up in Cincinnati where he graduated from Woodward High School. The "Cincinnati Cobra," as he became known, defeated numerous Hall of Fame fighters in three different weight classes and was a world champion in 1949, 1951, and 1952. He retired with a record of 95 wins, 25 losses, and 1 draw.
