Most Queen City hockey fans know of the Mohawks, Swords, Stingers, and Might Ducks.‚ However, another hockey team played in Cincinnati, albeit for just one season. In 1963, the Indianapolis Capitols of the Central Professional Hockey League relocated to The Cincinnati Gardens after their arena blew up nine games into the season. Renamed the‚ Wings, they moved to Memphis the following summer, leaving Cincinnati again without a pro hockey team.
