Inspired by the great "Sweet Lou" Piniella, Cincinnati has been tossin' bags since 1990, the year he took over the Reds' managerial duties. That first year, the Reds went wire to wire, sweeping the heavily favored Oakland A's in the World Series. He stepped down in October of 1992 after rejecting a contract extension.
