\nOpening day in Cincinnati is equal parts holiday and sporting event. The bars are packed, the schools are lightly attended, half-days are cashed in, and all the optimisms of summer and a 162 game season waits for a red convertible at Findlay Market to shift into drive.\n\nSean Casey, the Mayor himself, will be Grand Marshal for this year's opening day parade. Very few candidates come to mind that could better enrich that optimism for this year's season than Red's Hall of Famer Sean Casey.\nEntering a character building year for the Reds, young players will be given golden opportunities to showcase their abilities and submit their resumes for any and all available positions on the Reds roster. Veteran Bronson Arroyo is returning to the Reds like a sequel to an old movie that will not be as successful as the first, but never-the-less entertaining. The hitting machine that goes by the name "Joey Votto" is set to put on his annual hitting clinic, while Zach Cozart hopes to get use to turning two with someone other than DatDudeBP.\nCincy Shirts will be out and about for opening day at some bars, including Moerlein Lager House from 10am-4pm and we will also have a booth set up at Washington Park to sell some of our favorite Cincy Baseball shirts.\nWe hope to see you out today rooting on the home team.
