Pitcher Sonny Gray made his major league debut in 2013 as a member of the Oakland A’s, a mid-season call up from the AAA Sacramento River Cats. Starting in the bullpen, he eventually became the A’s fifth starter. In the middle of the 2017 season, he was traded to the Yankees, spending a season and a half in New York. In 2019 he was traded to the Reds. His first season in Cincinnati, he posted an 11-8 record and made it to his second All-Star Game.
