From the first time he stepped onto the diamond in the Queen City, the baseball fans of Cincinnati new Jonathan India was something special. One of the top prospects in the 2018 draft, he did not disappoint and made his major league debut on April 1, 2021 for the Reds, playing second base. His first hit was a double down the left field line to which he later added a single. He went on to play in 150 games, nothing a batting average of .269 with 21 HRs, and 69 RBI, on his way to capturing Rookie of the Year honors. The first Cincinnati player to do so since 1999.
